If you are using wireless you will have to connect to the internet via the ethernet cable the first time you set up a network connection. once you have connected the ethernet cable to the computer your computer should pick up the new connection. If it doesnt pick it up then try an ethernet to usb adapter and see if it will work via usb.

You will probably need to run the cd you got from your server. Go to – Start – Control Panel – network internet connections- set up a new connection wizard. ?
