Can Zoomify work with image tiles that are not lossy compressed?

0

Zoomify currently makes use of Flash Player’s longstanding support for the JPEG image format and, accordingly, the image tiles the Zoomify Viewer loads are JPEG files. With the release of Flash Player 8, PNG support became available, however, customer demand for Zoomify support for lossless tile compression was not judged to be as great as for many other features. Since that time we have made an effort to justify diverting development resources from other customer requested features but have not yet been able to do so. If you have a need for non-lossy-compressed tile support in Zoomify please let us know. We do our best to ensure our development is driven by customer needs.
