Can YROs be extended to take account of further offences?

No. If the young person is convicted of further offences and a YRO is deemed to be an appropriate sentence, the existing YRO must be revoked and the young person resentenced to include any new offences. In these situations the court must take into account the extent to which the young person has completed their current order in order to determine the length of the new YRO.
