Can youth hunt other species on the Youth Squirrel Season Day?
The Youth Squirrel Season was modified in 2010 to include other small game and therefore is now known as the Youth Small Game Season. Small game species which have a legal hunting season, excluding migratory game birds, may be taken during this season. However, mourning doves may be hunted if the dove season is open on that Saturday and all federal migratory regulations are followed.
