Can you use the wii classic controller to play gamecube games?
Unfortunately not, once a gamecube game is inserted it won’t detect the classic controller and an old gamecube controller must be used in order to play gamecube games. The classic controller is for use with some wiiware, but mostly virtual console games off of the wii shop channel — BUT virtual console games also work with gamecube controllers, so the classic controller isn’t even a necessity for that, so I suggest you get a refund and buy yourself a gamecube controller anyway. If you want to play gamecube games you will need to purchase a gamecube controller. I suggest checking on Amazon as there are often some for sale rather cheaply on there. Hope this helps.
