Can you use the heat from the EfW for anything besides electricity generation?
In fact there would be residual heat available after electricity has been produced. Sometimes it is practicable to supply this in the form of steam or hot water to nearby businesses and new homes. At present, there is no suitable development near Ardley, so it is unlikely that Viridor will be able to do this but there may be opportunities during the lifetime of the contract.
