No it will be too soft. Use drywall adhesive in powder form mixed with water as appropriate. It will be cheaper too.

I have never liked any Polyfilla product. The finished product is actually too soft and not resilient enough for painted walls. Any bump by furniture would cause major damage to the paint surface. Drywall finishing mud is too soft too, but it sure makes the drywaller’s job easier. I use only the drywall taping mud for taping and finishing, as it provided a tough resilient surface for paint.
