The first answer sums in up. You can’t use ground coffee beans because it would not dissolve and probably ruin the cake. Instant coffee is perfect as long as you dissolve it in the tiniest amount of water before adding it. Be sure to add enough otherwise there won’t be much of a flavor. “instant ground coffee beans” is a bit of a misnomer – do you mean instant coffee OR ground coffee beans – there’s a distinct difference ! Use instant coffee – doesn’t matter who’s it is and dissolve a fair amount of it in as little hot water as possible – then add to the cake mix.
