No, you cannot use the Wii remote and nunchuk with some games. I think it will allow you to use the Wii remote with games for the NES and similar systems. When getting ready to download a game, it will tell you what controllers are compatible with the game you are downloading on the screen that appears after you press it. The game should not work with any other contrroller than the ones that they say.
