Can you use a regular King Headboard for a California King Mattress?
A king sized mattress is 76″ x 80″. A California King is 72″ x 84″. There is 4″ difference between the two. You may be able to use a regular king sized headboard with a cal king mattress, it is really going to depend on the headboard itself. You are going to want to make sure that the headboard brackets on your bed are going to line up with the headboard and not be too wide. You could always fashion yourself an adapter between the two if you want also.
