Good question; all I know is how to do this on iMovie ’08 and Final Cut Express/ Pro 4. In iMovie, go to file, export, and export as a .xml file. Then in Final Cut, go to File-Import-iMovie xml file. After you import it, double click it in the browser and it will load into the sequence. Good luck. By the way, I found this out earlier by watching a final cut express tutorial on apple.
