The way that Aldi keeps their prices so low is by not spending money on petty things, having you reserve a cart for a quarter so you will return it yourself (no cart personnel), having to pay for bags, etc…. At any given time, there is typically at most 4 or 5 employees (usually less) at a store at a time. The entire staff of one store rarely exceeds 10 people. This is how they can afford to pay employees so much (usually starting at around $10/hour for a cashier). Most other grocery stores will have upwards of 30 employees on at a time. They do NOT list phone numbers for Aldi stores. The workers do not have time to deal with customer inquiries over the phone. Even if you go in and ask, an Aldi store will not give out the store’s phone number.
