Can you tell me if granite tile is considered an upgrade for a kitchen counter?

I’m not too sure if I’d be thrilled with the concept of having tile and GROUT to deal with on the kitchen counter. Where the sealed granite is a pretty non-pourus surface, the grout is pourus and is just a breeding place for bacteria. I’ve never found a way to ‘seal’ grout perfectly…there are always tiny cracks and crevices in it. If you don’t want to go for the expense of solid quartz or granite, there’s always a nice, moulded laminate, with the rounded edges. Check out this site…http://www.countertop.com/solidsurface/ The Wilsonart laminates are absolutely beautiful…truly a ‘class act’ It sure is another option to consider <:O) Welcome to Wilsonart® Solid Surface Beautiful Durability Imagine a surface that’s as durable as it is beautiful. A surface that allows you to create the look
