Can you take aciphex while taking biaxcin?
I am going to assume that you are taking Aciphex because of an ulcer. Biaxin is a generic antibiotic for Clarithromycin. Sometimes antibiotics are given in conjunction with ulcer medication. So yes you can take them both. Remember to follow your doctor’s advice. Take all of the antibiotics as prescribed. People sometimes stop taking antibiotics because they feel better. Don’t do this. Take them all as prescribed. The reason for prescribing an ulcer med with an antibiotic is because sometimes ulcer are caused by a bacterium. The ulcer med reduces stomach acid which will alleviate symptoms and the antibiotic will kill off the bacteria. So take them both as prescribed. If this does not help with your ulcer problem you might want to check with your doctor about a triple antibiotic therapy.
