Pills work well. Here’s a friend’s advice about taking the pills before her colonoscopy: http://www.healthangle.com/procedures/colonoscopy/stories/allison-female-39-new-york-colonoscopy Also, another friend suggests to eat lightly two days before so that you are essentially already emptying your system so that the official prep isn’t so bad. Here’s her story and advice: http://www.healthangle.com/procedures/colonoscopy/stories/jen-40-female-massachusetts Also, there are many different types of preps, and you should talk to your doctor about pills vs. drinks as well as different drinks available.

Yes, they do have pills now. My husband took them last time he had a colonoscopy and he said it was easier than drinking that cherry liquid. I forget how many pills he had to take and it was lot of water he had to drink. They are about the size of Women’s One-a-Day vitamins. Good luck!
