Can you suggest suitable student tasks for the assessed Data Analysis required in GCSE Science?
There are two places to look for Data Analysis ideas. 1 The OCR coursework guidance for GCSE Science A, Appendix B, pages 24/25. This booklet is downloadable as a pdf from the OCR website Appendix C in the booklet includes two marked examples of students’ data analysis exercises, with commentaries. Further examples of students work are provided when you attend the OCR training course “OCR GCSE Twenty First Century Science (J630-J635): Get started – successful delivery of the internally assessed units”. See OCR courses 2 The OUP scheme of work for GCSE Science describes opportunities for Data Analysis tasks in each module. OCR offers a free coursework Consultancy service. You can submit ideas for Tasks, or marked student work, and ask for comment on it. For further information ring 01223 553998 and ask to talk to a Twenty First Century Science Officer.
