Can you suggest a funding organization to develop a unique Mendocino Coast cleantech test center/thinktank?
I’m asking this FUNDING question regarding a timely matter here in Fort Bragg on the Mendocino coast of Northern California. Please help identify/introduce us to compatible funding organizations (could be KPCB/Generation/Gore, google.org, Apple’s charitable arm, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, venture groups, Packard Foundation, friends-of-friends wishing to fund clean energy development, etc.) to support our community effort to develop a Cleantech Development Center. This vision is for this world class development center to test solar, wind, wave, biomass, fungi, desalination, algae farming as well as other new clean technologies for study, development and deployment at the now-closed Georgia-Pacific Mill Site located at the center of our town on the waterfront. Since last year MendoCoastCurrent has been tracking wave and clean energy technologies. You are encouraged (as well as appropriate persons to whom you wish to refer us) to peruse MendoCoastCurrent (http://MendoCoastCurrent.wo
