Just Monday, ABC news broke a disturbing story: guns used by the US military in Iraq and Afghanistan have been inscribed by their manufacturer with Bible verses. That’s right. The high-powered weapons feature clear references to Christian scriptures like “2COR1:6” and “JN8:12.” Branding tools of war with Christian messages is a dangerous misuse of faith falsely implying that America is at war with Islam in the Middle East.
