Miracle grow has too much nitrogen in it and this will kill some plants if overused. If it is a potted plant, try to replace the soil with a non-fertilizer added mix. You can use a .5 .5 .5 low dose mix like a composted cow manure which is a slow release fertilizer and has a low burn chance as a substitute. Place it on top of the ground at the base of the plant and you will fertilize the plant a little every time it gets watered.
