You cannot use fabric softener to remove stains. It simply won’t work. Fabric softeners work by depositing lubricating chemicals on the fabric that make it feel softer, reduce static cling, and impart a fresh fragrance. Compare it to using hair conditioner to wash your hair with. It simply doesn’t work.
