No, Nevco does not refurbish older scoreboards and does not recommend it. The cost of retrofitting a scoreboard is around 80% of the cost of buying new. Plus, joining old technology with new technology will invariably lead to breakdowns. It is not worth the cost to put some new electronics in an old casing. Buying new would guarantee CSA Approval and UL Listing, 5-year warranty and many years of worry-free operation.
