Can you recommend a really useful legal study book on (Anglo-saxon) M&A transactions for practitioners?
This was selected as Best Answer I would have recommended Bill Knight’s book on Acquisition of Companies (Sweet & Maxwell), but to my surprise I see that this book is no longer being published. My best guess is that this is because Bill Knight retired several years ago as senior partner of Simmons & Simmons, and the current management of that firm don’t think the work involved in producing a new edition is justified, particularly in light of a major revision of UK company law under the Companies Act 2006. Consider buying an out-of-date edition on Amazon if you are not concerned about compliance with current UK legislation.
