The values provided in Table 7.2 ‘Assigning values to δ’ are guidelines. You need to consider in which category each inorganic element sits after a review of the literature. We do not recommend the use of the PRISM model without a review of the available literature in order to carefully consider parameterisation of the model. PRISM is a conservative generic model and in most cases a literature value, if based on good data, would be preferred.
