Can you provide a search strategy for finding tri-allelic and/or tetra-allelic SNPs in dbSNP?
dbSNP does not have a simple web search for your question. You’ll need to download the database table dumps located on the ftp site and use SQL to extract the data. The dbSNP database ER Diagram will help you interpret the tables. The query is complex so let us know if you need help. We’ll look into providing such a search in Entrez SNP.
