There’s a new feature in Leopard that gives you more control over what you want a screen shot of. Shift-Apple-4 and then single click and drag to “highlight” the area you want a picture of. There are some other options for window screenshots, or centered screenshots etc. See Machintosh Hints and Tricks for more info.
