I’m sorry to report that most emulators (SNES9X & ZSNES) have DISABLED network play (aka netplay) support for one reason or another with their more recent versions… but they have experimented with network play in the past with some success. For SNES9X, you’ll need version 1.42 (Netplay removed in version 1.43) For ZSNES, you’ll need version 1.42 (Netplay removed in version 1.50) You can read the news / version history files of the emulators for a potential reason WHY… but if it’s something you’re SERIOUS if having netplay support, you’ll have to find an older version of the emulators do to so (at least one version PRIOR to the official removal).
