Can you plant berries such as raspberry bushes near an ivy clad wall?

Ivy thrives in the shade and semi-shade, and often in not-so-well-drained soil so if the Ivy is doing well there, then the fruit bushes would probably prefer somewhere sunnier! They like south facing, sunny, not-too-windy and plenty of well rotted compost or manure in well-drained soil. Good luck!
