Answer Cindy, There are a ton of differences but here is my list of 10: 1. Pocket Depth- Girl’s sticks have a very shallow pocket. For the boys you’re not allowed to see the top of the ball below the plastic in the stick. For the girls you have to see the ball above the top of the plastic in the stick. The pocket is about a quarter of the depth it is for a guys stick. 2. The Face-Off- In girls lacrosse the face off happens above the ground and not on it. The ref places the ball between the two sticks of the girls facing off. Then, on the whistle, the girls throw the ball in the air. In boys the ball is on the ground and when the whistle is blow the boys try to rake it out. 3. Contact- In girls no stick checking inside the “bubble” an imaginary space that surrounds the head and shoulders. If you have the ball and you are cradling in that area you can’t be stick checked. Although boys do have penalties it is completely legal to check and hit kids. 4. Goalie Rule- In girls lacrosse there
