I’m Staying in NYC for 2 nights and I don’t want to drive in the city so I wanted to know if I could park my car at the Staten Island ferry on a Sunday and leave it there until Tuesday. I know you have to pay, but I want to make sure the lots are open and if you can pay when you park??? Please help A: There is no parking on the Manhattan side of the ferry. On the Staten Island side there are very nice new parking facilities. However the ferry no longer accommodates cars into SI (after 9/11 car were no longer allowed on the Ferry’s – Another damn thing we have to thank the radical Islamists for). If you wish to drive into SI, park at the ferry, and ferry it back to Manhattan. It may be possible. Parking at the ferry is $5.50 a day. You will need to contact them and see if you can stay in the same spot for 3 days. See this link it has the phone number for the parking org. http://www.nyc.gov/html/dot/html/motorist/stipk-01.
