Can you obtain casual work on a Visa Waiver Program?

To work in the States takes a Social Security card. For an alien to get that SS# would require a Green Card. Some cash jobs to be had without that SS# — which is for taxes — but those jobs are very hard to find. The Visa Waiver means certain countries such as Western Europe can come visit on a Tourist Visa for 90 days. You fill out the form on the airplane stating your place to stay. That’s all. If you over-stay your 90-day visit without getting an extension for work and/or study (up to 6 months total visit), you join the vast underground of illegal aliens residing in the States. That is to say, most illegals came over with a valid visa and then violated it. If you get caught overstaying, you forfeit any coming back to the States for like 10 years and you are deported.
