Can you OBJECTIVELY explain to me why Congress is investigating steroids and MLB Baseball?
Number one the federal government has given Baseball an anti-trust exemption. This allows baseball to safely run without fear of competition. It allows baseball to block sales, block moves, many other things a normal business is not allowed. This is a big deal to the government…I am not aware of any other businesses that have this special rule from the government. By baseball excepting this freedom they have allowed the government to be sort of partners in the game. Number two steroids are illegal without a prescription. It is a federal law they are breaking by using these controlled substances. If baseball allows its athletes to use steroids unchecked it effects us as a country. Specifically our children. What happens when your child gets into high school and plays sports? To compete is he going to have to start using steroids? That is what would and is happening since the popularity of steroids in professional sports. Baseball was very slow/reluctant to act to clean up their own me
