Can you name a few retired wrestlers who deserved to win the WWE championship???
Yes, I agree 100% on Roddy Piper deserving of a WWE World Title, but keep in mind that Piper was off doing movies most of the time, and the WWE needed a champion who was consistent defending the title. But regardless, if Piper ever won the title, he was a wrestler who didn’t need a major belt to be over with the crowd. Whether it was heel heat, or face heat, the Rowdy one delivered. He was a Main Eventer through out his career, and as I stated above, the only reason he did not win a WWE World title was because of his movie career. One thing for sure, it wasn’t for lack for talent. Another one who was deserving of a WWE World title was Jake the Snake Roberts, he is the original cerebral assassin, and master of reverse psychology in his pre-match promos. The Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase! He is one of the most popular wrestlers in wrestling history (besides Roddy Piper)to never win a championship. For the record Owen Hart died May 23, 1999… But I do believe that if he were alive today he eventually would’ve won the WWE Championship. He was in fact every bit as good as his brother Bret.
