The better thing to do would be to use the albuterol first, then the pulmicort. The albuterol will open up your bronchi allowing the pulmicort to be better absorbed, and therefore more effective. A bronchodilator is always recommended before the use of an inhaled corticosteroid. And I would go with the pamphlet’s instructions. It probably would be fine to mix it if your doctor said so, but the pamphlet comes from the manufacturer, who knows their medication better than the doctor would.
