Can you make a hover device that uses only batteries and magnets?
You could use two sets of strong magnets to create a device that hovers. Two sets of magnets that are of opposite polarity repel each other. You can see this concept in action in Maglev trains, which actually hover a small height above their tracks due to opposing magnetic fields. The only problem is you would need a track underneath you at all times in order to hover.. A different way to creat a hovercraft would be to use air. Use a turbine or fan of some sort as an impeller, and drive air underneath your hovercraft while containing it some how. Some creative minds have used vacuum cleaners or leaf blowers to provide the air cushions for hovercrafts.
