iLife comes equipped with iMovie which is great for any video editing. Also, all iMacs have built-in webcams and built-in mics. Other than iMovie, you can upgrade to Final Cut Express ($200) or even Final Cut Pro ($1,300). Macs are preferred by those who edit video, produce music and also by those who are graphic designers and web designers. In other words, iMacs are more than capable of being used to make documentaries with. And, by the way, iLife also includes GarageBand, which is great for adding background music to put straight into a video you edit on iMovie. Basically, iLife was designed to let all the software work well together and that’s what Apple accomplished when they created iLife and put it onto Macs.
