well i had 3 angel fish and one fighter fish together they were fine because the angel fish were bigger

Definitely not…..the best match is a betta (fighting fish) and any fish which doesn’t have large fins…such as a corry. We have our betta in a tank with 4 corries and they get along splendidly.

It’s probably not a great idea. Bettas aren’t aggressive with fish that don’t resemble bettas, for the most part. However, angelfish are aggressive with everything. Male bettas are so hampered by their long fins, that they can’t swim very quickly. An angelfish will take advantage of that, and beat the snot out of him.
