Can you help me with factorising and simplifying algebra please?

When you factor a problem you look for variables or coefficients that all the terms have in common. Then you take these common terms out of the equation (to be multiplied). Q1) 6x+8 We can take out a 2 giving 2(3x+4) Q2) 6x squared – 2x We can take out the 2 and the x giving 2x(3x-1) Q3) 8ab + 12a squared b – 10ab squared If you need to, take out one thing at a time, like first the 2 giving 2(4ab+6a^2b-5ab^2) then the “a” giving 2a(4b+6ab-5b^2) last the “b” giving (2ab) * (4+6a-5b) Q4) 10pq squared – 15p squared q We can take out the 5 giving 5(2pq^2-3p^2q) Now take out the p and q giving (5pq) * (2q-3p) If you want to check your work multiply it back out and see if you get the original question. Simplifying Multiply the parenthese out and then combine the terms.
