Reverse osmosis removes minerals from water that determine its taste and have health benefits. We will add minerals at the end of the treatment process so that levels are close to those in the water already supplied. We have carried out taste and odour tests on supplies from the pilot desalination plant to make sure they are as close as possible to existing supplies.
