Can you give me tips for the most comfortable way to travel on long overnight flights?”
Your comfort level greatly depends on how booked the flight is; if at all possible, try to fly on a plane less booked. Some people prefere middle seats, since they tend to be less booked but I can’t; I always ask for a window. What, you are flying some place you have not been at for a long time if ever, and don’t get a chance to look at it from up high? Not me! If you are older and need to walk/stretch/go to the bathroom often, consider isle. Front seats are quieter and shake less; this is important for some people. They also get booked fast. Once in the plane, the flight attendant can help you change seats; or you can just grab someone else’s seat once boarding is complete, no one usually minds. Also, if a plane is half-empty, try throwing a coat or something somewhere at a middle row right away to mark the territory. People will take those rows pretty fast to sleep at. Wear nice socks, they might stick into the isle as you sleep 🙂 Wear shoes that are easy to put on/take off Either
