The vaccine only prevents two low risk HPV types 6 and 11 which cause 90% of visible genital warts and two HPV types 16 and 18 which have been linked to 70% of cervical cancers. They are 40 high and low risk HPV types. You had an HPV infection years ago…but at this time there is no HPV types that tells is what specific HPV type we carry.
