Can you get evicted without notification?
The timelines may vary a little depending on your no location, but no they can not just throw you out without taking everything through the proper legal channels. To evict someone they have to file for and then serve you with a legal eviction. That, depending on where you are, is usually either 30 or 60 days. Being 5 days late with your rent usually will not warrant an eviction. If they just want you out they will have to find abother reason, Otherwise, you should be fine. As far as the deposit goes … that is outlined in your lease agreement. If you have a copy read through it and see what it says the reasons are that they can refuse to give your deposit back. It will be in there somewhere. As for the month’s rent you just gave them … if you paid it there is no need for an eviction for non-payment.
