Can you get a vasectomy or a tubal sterilisation in the public hospitals?
• Can you tell me about the newer method of tubal sterilisation that doesnt require a general anaesthetic? • Does bleeding when I am using the implant (Implanon ) mean my contraception is not working? • Does using the injectable contraceptive affect the chances of me getting pregnant later? • Every so often when I take the contraceptive pill, I get bleeding when my periods not due. Its not heavy, but enough to drive me crazy. What causes this? • For the first 18 months I had no bleeding at all on the contraceptive implant (Implanon) it was great. But now for the past six months I have had continuous spotting. I have had a pap smear and an STI check, which were all normal, and a general gynaecology check to make sure nothing else is wrong. What can I do about the bleeding? • For the past 6 months, for a week before my period comes I have a really thick mostly black, slightly reddish discharge, and then my normal period starts.
