Can you explain the differences between Methodist, Presbyteran, Lutheran & Baptist to help me decide?
Answer Staci, Please forgive me for taking so long to answer you. I hope I can be of some help to you. First of all, your daughter’s age might be a determining factor for you. Baptist churches are not known to baptize infants, but usually baptize only those individuals who have chosen to follow Christ from their own conviction and commitment to Him. As in any denomination, there are good and bad congregations within the Baptist umbrella, so it takes care to decide which individaul congregation to become a part of. Presbyterian churches do baptize infants because they believe that God has chosen those who will be saved from before creation, so they conclude that it doesn’t matter when that person is baptized because the choice of God has already been made. Within this denomination you will find a lot of ‘high church’ congregations, which means there is a lot of ceremony during their worship services. Again, the indivudal congregation you find will be important within this denomination.
