Can you explain the beast/anti christ number 666?
In Revelation 13:18, the author says: “Let anyone with understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a person. Its number is six hundred and sixty-six.” In Hebrew, letters are also used as numbers; the figure 666 is reached by adding up the numerical values of the Hebrew letters “Qsr Nrwn”, which transliterates the Greek “Kaisar Neron” (“Emperor Nero”): Q = 100 S = 60 R = 200 N = 50 R = 200 W = 6 N = 50 Total:666 So it’s a kind of code using magical numerology, perhaps to conceal the real message from the Romans.
