Can you differentiate Xtremesofts AppMetrics from Identity Softwares AppSight for me?
Sometimes AppSight is mistakenly believed to provide the same capabilities as Xtremesofts AppMetrics, when in fact, the two products solve very different and separate problems. AppMetrics focuses on the quantity, quality and performance of the Business Transactions that are taking place within a production application, with the goal of keeping that application running longer than it would without the software being present. (Incidentally, it does this job very well!) It alerts you when transactions are either failing, slowing down, or when there are too many transactions occurring at one time for the system to handle. AppMetrics does this by monitoring your COM+ components and then producing metrics representing these business transactions. Identity Software’s product is targeted at tracing application crashes.
