Can you die a flower with regular spray paint or does it have to be flower spray paint?

I don’t know anything about flowers, but I can tell you that regular spray paint won’t dye anything. Regular spray paint is an enamel or acrylic “coating” rather than a dye. I’m sure it would just kill the flower, and possibly not even dry properly. If I was going to experiment with DIY flower dying, I’d probably try dipping the flower in food coloring or a water based dye. Correction: check out this for how to dye flowers…….http://www.ehow.
