Can you comment today on President Bushs defense of the EPA in denying California the waiver on the greenhouse gases?
GOVERNOR: I was very disappointed that they have denied our request for a waiver, because what they have done basically is they have gone against the will of millions of people in California, and the will of 16 other states. And I think that we should have the right to regulate our own air and make decisions based on what is the best for our health, and what is the best fight against global warming. So we have sued the federal government in order to get that waiver, and we will sue again to overturn that decision. Q: (Inaudible) the population numbers in California. And some are talking about, even though the population is up, a net loss of people moving out of the state as to coming in. Do you have anything to say about that? GOVERNOR: We have seen a continuous increase in population here in California, and I think that we will continue seeing that increase of population.
