Can you claim workers compensation for causing anxiety attacks?
You cannot receive worker’s compensation for instigating panic attacks; however, you may be eligible to receive compensation if you suffered an emotional trauma on the job, if said trauma interferes with your ability to resume and/or continue duties, and if a doctor can establish a definite correlation between both the trauma and the condition of the afflicted. If the trauma is severe enough, one may also qualify for Social Security on either a temporary basis (SSI) or a permanent one (SSD), although the former is more likely to occur.
