Yes, you can buy chinese imported furniture in several places along the main drag of Chicago’ s China town. (Wentworth at the Cermak red line L station). Ching Wei Furniture Store is on the Wentworth part of Chinatown, Just remember that friendly bargaining is very acceptable. Start very VERY low. (You would be astonished at how high the markup is on things made in China….at least 500%.)Don’t talk down the merchandise unless there really is something broken or missing. And be prepared to simply walk away if you can’t get a low price. Chances are the seller will come after you to resume the bargaining. However, once you agree to a price, you are obliged to take the item. It would create very bad feeling if you didn’t.
