Can You Breed A Mini Rex Rabbit (female) and A Rex (Male) ?
I have to comment here. First the absolute only reason to breed rabbits is to improve the breed standard or if you want meat rabbits to feed your family. I am personally opposed to meat rabbits but it is a fact of life that I have learned to deal with. In California some of the top mini rex breeders will cross them to standard rex. Mostly because standard rex have been around longer and often have better fur density and hind quarters. These are experienced breeders who understand genetics as well as breed standards. The mini rex breed has made a lot of ground since they were first approved in 1986. If you want to breed you are far better breeding mini rex to mini rex. Non-pedigreed rabbits have no market value. If you mix breeds the rabbit will not have a pedigree. I am also guessing that your animals don’t have pedigrees since you are asking this question.
